The Nutcracker 
with live orchestra ~ nothing compares!!
at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium 

Saturday and Sunday, December 10 and 11
Two performance each day: 1 pm and 4:30 pm

Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre presents the original Santa Cruz Nutcracker production, since 2002 at the Civic Auditorium with the Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre Orchestra conducted by Music Director Pamela Martin.  

The original Santa Cruz Nutcracker production, featuring 52 professional musicians bringing the beauty of Tchaikovsky's score to glorious life.  The SCBT Nutcracker features stunning choreography, costumes, scenery, lighting, right in the Civic Auditorium.  Health and safety protocol may be in place for a safe viewing environment for everyone.  

Special guest star SCBT alumna and Houston Ballet principal dancer Melody Mennite will grace the stage as the Sugar Plum Fairy! 


The Ballet Alliance Festival 

El Paso Texas
April 3-6

Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre will perform a work chosen by Festival Artistic Director Alan Hineline through the evaluation process. Emerging works may also be performed.  Go to The Ballet Alliance website for updated information.  The Festival is an educational experience for our dancers, featuring exposure to recruiters from professional companies, schools and college/university dance departments.


In Concert performances

Crocker Theater at Cabrillo College
Saturday and Sunday, May 6 and 7

A mixed repertory concert featuring The Jungle Book with choreography by Debra Pearse Rogo, and new creations by guest choreographers Eva Stone and Erin Robbins.  The program features the talented SCBT Senior Company dancers, augmented by Junior and Petite Companies.



Emerging Choreographers Showcase
in conjunction with The Studio Student Demonstration
