A Santa Cruz tradition!  Our twelfth anniversary production with 51-piece orchestra conducted by Maestro Pamela Martin.  Audiences will be dazzled by guest stars: starring alumna Lauryn Winterhalder with Richard Smith of Sacramento Ballet opening night and alumna Melody Mennite Walsh of Houston Ballet with Michael Bearden of Ballet West Saturday and Sunday.  70 local dancers perform choreography by Robert Kelley.

Santa Cruz Symphony Children's and Family Concerts 

Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre collaborates with the symphony in these fun, informative concerts which center around the orchestra.  Junior and Petite Company dancers perform.

Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre In Concert 

Live performances by Nancy LeVan & Bill Walker and Watsonville Taiko!

Our annual mixed-repertory concert features "Every Little Thing You Try", a new collaboration with local musicians/songwriters Nancy LeVan and Bill Walker with award-winning resident choreographer Robert Kelley.  Also featuring "Cadence and 1", a new creation by guest choreographer Eva Stone to music composed by Ikuyo Conant and played live by Watsonville Taiko.  Plus the revival of Debra Pearse Rogo's hauntingly beautiful "La Volonta" to music by Felix Mendelssohn, and performances by the Junior and Petite Company dancers.

Regional Dance America/Pacific Festival 

RDA/Pacific turns fifty this season!  Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre participates in the annual Festival, this season held in Sacramento in honor of the region's inagural Festival.  Member companies from the region each perform works in three varied performances.  Adjudicator Angelo Lemmo has chosen Eva Stone's piece "Cadence and 1" with music played live by Watsonville Taiko to close the final performance on Wednesday, May 13.
