ENROLLMENT is open all year long to students age 4 and up. We do not require an audition for entrance. Young dancers are placed in our program according to their age. Dancers age 8 and up with previous experience will be assigned an evaluation class, in which the instructor will make a formal level placement. 8-year-old dancers without previous experience will be placed in Level I, where the instructor will make sure this is the appropriate class. All of the curriculum in our Professional Program is required for each level, with the exception for Summer training.
Call or email our Registrar to arrange an evaluation class if you have prior experience. Let us know if we can mail you a brochure with enrollment forms. We recommend that parents come in to the studio on your child's first visit, to submit forms, see the facilities, meet teachers and office staff.
Enrollment requires these completed forms:

• Credit Card authorization form (if you will be paying with a credit card)
Students may take a Free Trial class before committing to the program, in which case, a Liability Waiver must be signed. You may decide that our program is right for your child before enrolling.

FIRST CLASS IS FREE. Each of our programs offers a free trial class, and we encourage new students to take advantage of this to make sure our academy is right for you. Please contact our registrar to arrange your first class, whether it be a trial class or an evaluation class. Once you have been placed in the proper level for your ability and aspirations, you may formally enroll in the program.
PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM is for students age 8 and up and is strictly designed around our professional syllabus. Students are groomed for a career in the field should they have that interest and ability; students who do not wish to become professional dancers have the advantage of the highest quality training in the area. Many of our graduates continue on to higher education and value what they learned at The Studio. The program requires an annual registration fee of $75.
PREPARATORY BALLET PROGRAM (Pre-Ballet and Primary levels) is for young dancers age 4 and up. Pre-Ballet classes are for students age 4-7 and Primary is for ages 7 and up by placement. The program requires a $50 annual registration fee.
ADULT PROGRAM. Offered Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings, dancers may drop in as is convenient. These classes are for dancers at an Intermediate or Advanced level of achievement.

APPROVED OCEAN GROVE VENDOR
The Studio is an approved vendor to the Ocean Grove Charter School (home school). Please see your Educational Specialist for a purchase order. We are listed by our incorporated name, Santa Cruz Academy of Ballet (DBA The Studio, School of Classical Ballet). The school will pay your ballet tuition, but please note that Ocean Grove does not pay Registration fees.
