Regional Dance America
Regional Dance America, founded in 1988, is a national organization of over two hundred companies, divided into five regions. The five regions of RDA are Pacific, Southwest, Mid-States, Northeast and Southeast.
The Pacific Region includes companies from Utah, Washington, Arizona, California and Oregon. Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre is recognized as an Honor Company member of RDA and has represented the Pacific Region in performances at the International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi. Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre has also performed at the Tanzommer Arts Festival, touring Austria and Germany.

Each year, all member companies gather at the home city of one member company, who hosts a Festival, comprising three or four days of classes, performances, and fun. Dance works are selected to be performed by each company through an adjudication process held earlier in the year. The interchange among dancers, directors, choreographers, and world-class teachers over the intensive festival period is one of the greatest benefits of Regional Dance America.

| | "Tonight I witnessed one of the most incredible examples of excellence in youth activities. Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre's 'In Concert' performance of Our
Town with other pieces including an original piece with a live vocalist was simply breathtaking."
